The Theraflex has been invented and designed by Matthew Stobart, the man who invented and designed the original power assisted micro manipulation, named PAMM and the Tamars devices used by Advanced Spinal Technologies. 
Authoritative literature states that 95% of back problems are of a mechanical nature, Theraflex have produced a mechanical solution to a mechanical problem.
Mechanical back problems are relieved by reducing stresses within the spine, increasing the suppleness and flexibility, alieviating the initial cause of the problem.
The equipment is an aid to the therapist, helping to restore the supple elasticity and stability to the spine. Treatment is non-invasive and progressive.
The condition of every joint is felt through the handset, defining problem areas in the spine requiring attention. This enables therapists to work with speed, and an energy that would otherwise be impossible to achieve in the same amount of treatment time by conventional methods.
The pneumatic power pack has been specially designed to supply the correct amount of air at anytime, therefore treatment can be continuous. It is an oil free system which requires no servicing.
The Theraflex equipement has been specifically designed to make it simple for the therapist to use. The computer controlled display has three adjustable programme settings - rapid, momentary and progressive.
The pneumatic powered handset has been ergonomically designed to make it easy to use and adjust. The handset has three controls, on/off,  6 speed settings at the front, 6 power settings at the rear, therefore the therapist can adjust the handset whilst working.
